Carlito Wishes He Was Written Off WWE TV, Says There Were No Conversations About A Return
Carlito exited WWE in June 2025 after his contract expired, ending his second run with the company after two years.
Carlito was a member of the Judgment Day and often used on television before leaving without explanation.
“I still had two weeks left. I just wish they would have written me off somehow. That’s my only, that’s the only thing that I didn’t like. I’m a professional bro, not being in WWE is not the end of the world. So I was like, I’ll gladly come in, and you didn’t want my services, just write me off and I’ll ride off into the sunset,” Carlito told Chris Van Vliet on Insight.
Carlito’s departure was announced at the same time as R-Truth’s, which led to much backlash from WWE fans and Truth’s eventual return to the company.
There were no such conversations with Carlito.
“No, it was no conversation, either way. I never spoke to them, they never spoke to me, just kind of let it run out,” he said.
Elsewhere during the interview, he explained how he shot himself in the foot by signing a shorter deal with WWE. You can find his full comments here.
