Kaitlyn Says AJ Lee Came Up With ‘The Chickbusters’ Name For Their Tag Team

Kaitlyn reveals who came up with The Chickbusters name in WWE.
In 2011, Kaitlyn and AJ Lee created a tag team. They were known as The Chickbusters.
Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, she was asked about the origin of this tag team name. The wrestler credited AJ Lee for coming up with the name for them.
“I think AJ [Lee] did because there was a couple of guys that were going by Dudebusters (Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta). We were all in developmental together. So it was kind of like a funny, ‘Oh, we’re Chickbusters.’ A lot of this silly stuff that people remember, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I didn’t remember that.’ It’s because we would have these strategic conversations with the announcers and the commentators cause they would want to know about you. They can tell your story properly during your match. So I was taught from early on, if you want to get a story across, if there’s something that you want people to know about, you have a conversation with the commentators. That’s pretty much where we got Chickbusters to be said. That’s where I got Hybrid Diva to be talked about. Not everything you say will get aired. But it’s kind of this strategy to say, ‘Hey, I’m trying to get this part of my character over. I’m trying to express this piece of my story.’”
In another interview, Kaitlyn opened up about having beef with Layla. Fans can read more about it here.
