Kaitlyn Says Mae Young Classic Match With Michin Was Enough To Be Her Last WWE Match

Kaitlyn once told Michin that she was okay with their match being the final one of her WWE career.
During the Mae Young Classic 2018, Kaitlyn returned to the WWE ring for the first time in four years. She wrestled Kavita Devi in the first round, before facing Michin in the second.
Speaking on Rewind Recap Relive, she discussed this match.
“I left in 2014. Then in 2018, I came back to do the Mae Young Classic, which was a great experience. That was the first time I got to experience the developmental center (Performance Center). It was the first time I got to experience that. I was like, ‘This is amazing.’ Like the gym there, the trainers, all the rings, it was so state-of-the-art. I was like, ‘Wow.’ I got to experience that and then Full Sail. I had two matches. My first one was kind of like… the woman I was wrestling was very new. We had a good match. But then my second match was with Mia Yim. Her and I had such a sick match. I loved her.”
After her match with Michin, Kaitlyn told her that if this was the end of her WWE career, she would be okay with it.
“I had told her after our match because I really loved it so much. I was like my last match before I left in 2014, I did not love that. I felt sick to my stomach. It was not a good situation. I had asked my release the day before and they asked me to stay one more day. Then they gave me a last match and I think it was on like Main Event or Superstars or something. I took a super kick to the face from Tamina, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. At that point, I just wanted to get out of there. So my last match was like (shrugs). So going back and having that match with Mia Yim, my second match in the Mae Young Classic. I was like, if i never get in the WWE ring again, this match was enough for me for that to be like this was my last WWE match because I loved it so much.”
Elsewhere in the interview, she talked about a potential WWE return. Fans can read her comments here.
