Becky Lynch: After Getting Beat Up By Ronda Rousey, I Believed I Could Last In An MMA Fight

After getting physical on-screen with Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch believed she could last in an MMA fight.

Becky Lynch’s ascension in WWE was going on at the same time that UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey was with the company and reigning as a Women’s Champion.

Lynch guest appeared on Stephanie McMahon’s What’s Your Story? podcast and looked back on working with Rousey. She remembers taking a beating from the multi-time WWE Women’s Champion, and afterward, Lynch said there was a week-long period where she thought she could last in an MMA fight.

“Wrestling her (Ronda Rousey), there was one time when she beat me up and I remember thinking — not because I could fight back, but I was like, ‘Ah, I can take a beating. Maybe I could go into MMA. I think I can take it.’ But then, that lasted one week,” she laughed.

Rousey returned to the octagon at the MVP MMA1 event. She scored a submission win over Gina Carano in under 20 seconds.
