Gunther Demands Undisputed WWE Championship Rematch From Cody Rhodes On 6/5 WWE SmackDown
Gunther says Cody Rhodes cheated at WWE Clash in Italy, and he wants justice.
At WWE Clash in Italy, Cody Rhodes controversially defeated Gunther. His foot was under the ropes when Rhodes went for the pin, and the referee missed that.
On the 6/5 WWE SmackDown, Gunther opened the show. He said Cody cheated during Clash in Italy and wanted a rematch. Cody was ready to hand him a rematch right there, but Sami Zayn interrupted them.
Zayn also wanted a shot at the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes said he was busy.
Both stars were exchanging words when Gunther shoved Cody into Sami. He put The American Nightmare in the sleeper hold. Zayn saved Rhodes, but later got caught in the crossfire when Rhodes tried to attack Gunther.
Rhodes explained that he didn’t mean to attack Sami, but he simply walked away.
