Cody Rhodes Agrees To Defend Undisputed WWE Title Against Gunther On 6/19 WWE SmackDown

Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther III set for WWE SmackDown in two weeks.

After controversially losing to Cody Rhodes at WWE Clash in Italy, Gunther appeared on the 6/5 WWE SmackDown to demand justice. The American Nightmare agreed with Gunther and offered a rematch on the show. Sami Zayn interrupted the two, and the match never took place.

But later in the show, Nick Aldis informed Cody Rhodes that he talked to Gunther’s lawyers, and they’re willing to accept a rematch on one condition. This will be revealed next week on WWE SmackDown.

Cody says he didn’t want to wait much longer, so he’s going to defend the title on the June 19 edition of the show in Kansas City. WWE hasn’t officially confirmed the match yet, but both Aldis and Rhodes have agreed to this.
