AJ Styles On Visiting The Dungeon: ‘It Was Such A Pleasure Going And Seeing How They Operate’

AJ Styles recently visited Nattie and TJ Wilson’s wrestling school, The Dungeon.

Last week, AJ Styles visited The Dungeon training facility in Tampa, Florida.

On the latest episode of the Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles detailed his experience of visiting The Dungeon.

“It was such a pleasure going and seeing how they operate. I think that is the way to go when I finally open up my place, invite only, so that we can work together and everybody can get better together. I can see who’s ready, who isn’t, little things like that. It was so well done and so professional. I was meant to go there and TJ wasn’t there. He’s over in Italy for Clash in Italy. So it was just Nattie over there. She’s such a sweetheart now, always has been. But man, it was fun.”

Later, Styles says that the classes held there were very well done.

“It’s a pretty big class. We’re talking about 20, 25 people. The way they had it set up, it was just so many people were involved in this one exercise that we’re doing, which allows you to remember stuff. … Everybody’s involved in this match that gets everybody used to remembering stuff. Because in a match, you gotta remember, your brain has to work out. You’ve got to remember all these things and all these different ways of doing things. If something doesn’t flow, we can go, what if we did this instead of this? So we’re all working together and trying to figure out the flow of this exercise that we’re all doing. It’s really well done. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

In another edition of his podcast, Styles talked more about opening an invite-only training facility in the future. Fans can read his comments here.
