Since exiting WWE last year, Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux have been part of the independent circuit not only in the United States but around the world. Kross has since gone on a tear, capturing several championships in not only the States but the likes of Australia and more.
While speaking to 1010XL in a recent interview, Killer Kross was asked about his success on the independent wrestling circuit, noting that part of the reason for his success is due to his authenticity.
“Having a relationship and a connection that’s authentic with the audience. It’s very easy. Everyone’s been saying, you know, attention is currency. That’s not the highest currency. Authenticity is the highest currency, and the professional wrestling audience has been starving for it. I tried to talk about this two years ago and point it out. Some people didn’t want to hear it. The audience definitely were like, ‘hey, I think he’s onto something.’ Turns out we were right.”
