AJ Lee Not Expected To Return To WWE Imminently

An update on AJ Lee’s next WWE appearance.

The last time that AJ Lee appeared on WWE programming was on night one of WrestleMania 42, where she dropped the Women’s Intercontinental Championship to Becky Lynch.

On the newest episode of WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, it was stated that Lee is not expected back in WWE imminently.

After her loss to Lynch at WrestleMania 42, Lee appeared on the post-show and said the following:

“It’s been my favorite WrestleMania experience so far. Maybe my favorite match so far. Even though I lost it, I got to have my family here. For a lot of them, it was the first time ever, and what I wanted to do with that entrance was represent all the fans who have been with me from day one; who have been wearing my outfits, my shirts and my shorts and my shoes and skipping along with me the whole way. That was for you. I love you. I never got to say goodbye last time and I felt bad about that. So this is not goodbye. But, I’ll see you soon. I hope.”

Lee had two defenses of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. The last was against Lynch, and the first was against Bayley.
