Maya World Defeats Skye Blue To Advance In Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

Maya World is advancing in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.

AEW Dynamite Summer Blockbuster featured another first round match in the tournament, as Skye Blue took on Maya World. Blue was originally scheduled to take on Sareee, who was pulled from the bout due to injury.

World was able to pull out a shock victory in the end, pinning Blue with a surprise jackknife pin.

With the win, World will face Athena in a tournament semifinal match. It is currently unknown when that match will take place.
