Shane Haste Says He Hates ‘Have A Backup Plan’ Advice Given To Aspiring Wrestlers

Shane Haste says he hates the advice of having a backup plan that aspiring wrestlers receive.
A few weeks back, Nearly Average Wrestling posted a clip where Shane Haste shared his words of encouragement to up-and-coming wrestlers. He advised them not to get into wrestling.
Speaking with Pario Magazine, Haste was asked if he’d still give this advice to aspiring talents.
“It’s a cliché and I always hated it when I was getting into wrestling of have a backup plan. Because I’m like, no, because if you’re not – I’m still unfortunately like this now and it’s, it hopefully will not become a problem in my life – that if you have a plan B and the plan B starts to work a little bit easier, then that becomes your plan A. I’ve seen it where people do that. Now they wrestle kind of on the side. It’s because I never had a plan B that wrestling was always my plan A. So it had to work out. I was lucky that, in the sense that I have fantastic parents, supportive parents. I’ve always been able to find work to fund the stuff. So I’ve never had money problems. That’s always been the thing. I’m extremely good looking. I’m extremely talented. So when I would try to do things in wrestling, it would just keep working out for me. So it is hard. There is a lot more wrestlers these days. There’s a lot more competition.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Haste explained his Pro Wrestling NOAH return. Fans can read his comments here.
