Rosa has proven to be a staple of the AEW Women’s Division in recent years, capturing the AEW Women’s World Title as well as signing a second deal with CMLL to become a dual contracted talent within the company.
While speaking to Houston Life in a new interview, Thunder Rosa was asked about how much she practices new things before she tries them on TV, noting that sometimes she tries brand new things on national TV.
“You know what? Sometimes it’s like for me, I like to try things in the ring, like live to see how the fans are reacting, and sometimes I’ve tried new things on national TV. I’ve been lucky that I did a pretty good job.”
Thunder also spoke about her schedule at home regarding being an active pro wrestler.
“In a good day, especially when I’m at home, I wake up, I have breakfast, walk my dog, then I go to the gym for about two hours, then I come back, and then I have to do either I have to study, like Lucha, especially Lucha Libre. I’ve been like dreaming of Lucha Libre right now. Because it’s like speaking two different languages. Working in the United States is one thing. Working in Mexico is a different thing. The fans are different. The likes are different.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Thunder spoke about what is required for women’s wrestling to be on a level playing field with men’s wrestling. You can read more about that here.
