Triple H and Goldberg have a long history, with tension being well documented between the two over the years, including regarding his final match with the company against Gunther, with Goldberg noting that he couldn’t have done the bout without Triple H.

While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Goldberg spoke on the tension between he and Triple H upon signing with WWE.

“It was different at the time, because he and I couldn’t stand each other. We were both represented by the same agent, and we had a confrontation prior to me going to the WWE, and then, oh, by the way, he was married to Vince McMahon’s daughter, so I mean it was kind of like me walking into an unwinnable situation, but I think business prevailed, and truthfully, at the end of the day, he’s a good guy.”

Elsewhere in a previous interview, Goldberg spoke about how he wanted to ‘rip Triple H’s face off’ when he signed with WWE. You can read more about that here.
