Report: Toni Storm Originally Planned To Win 2026 Owen Hart Foundation Tournament

New details on Toni Storm and the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Toni Storm was originally planned to win the Owen Hart Foundation Women’s Tournament, setting up her against Thekla for the AEW Women’s Title at AEW All In.

Storm was attacked on television in March and will reportedly be out for a long time.

With Storm out, the plan reportedly shifted to Willow Nightingale winning, but she was injured before the tournament started. Mercedes Mone took her place in the tournament as the Wild Card.

Fightful has confirmed both reports.

Mone will face Maya World in the finals of the tournament at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
