Fabian Aichner Says He Started Talking With TNA After Matt Bloom Suggestion

Fabian Aichner details his road to TNA.
The promotion made headlines at the tail end of May when they officially inked Aichner to a deal. Since then, the former Imperium member has shared the ring with the likes of KC Navarro, Cedric Alexander, and Leon Slater.
Speaking with PWMania for a new interview, Fabian Aichner said that before signing with TNA, he took a complete break for wrestling before eventually getting the itch to come back.
“I took a little bit of time away because I felt like I was burned out mentally and physically. At the start, I didn’t really want to know about wrestling to be very honest, for the first time in my life. Then as the months went by, I was like, ‘Man, life feels very different if there’s no wrestling involved.’ Instead of going from one show to next show, preparing constantly for a bigger event and then checking those off the list. Yeah, I mean I knew I was just going to take a pause. I never thought about just completely stopping. As the months went by, I just felt that itch coming up more.”
As it turns out, Matt Bloom recommended TNA to Aichner.
“One of my former coaches actually hit me up, Matt Bloom, a guy from the PC. He asked me how I was doing and everything, I said, ‘Everything’s good, I’m just looking for new opportunities and new options to go to.’ He suggested TNA for me. So I started talking to them. Seemed great, just good energy, good vibe. A friend of mine in Germany pointed it out as well. I started watching the shows, I liked what I saw. One thing led to another, it happened really organically. Then, after the first tapings in Sacramento a couple weeks ago, I had my first best day I’ve ever had. Everything was chill, very relaxing. I just had a lot of fun. It was great. Great first appearance, great first match against Eddie, which I feel like I let people know what I’m capable of. It was a great start altogether, so I’m really happy to be here.”
