Mick Foley once again discusses coming out of retirement for one more match, naming Darby Allin as his dream opponent.
Foley recently signed with AEW in a broadcaster capacity and will help to host events with the company in the future. However, despite his age and injuries over the years, some fans still have hope to see Foley step into the ring one last time.
While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Mick Foley was once again asked about possibly wrestling one more match.
“I had this great 30-minute conversation with Ariel Helwani and he asked me about the possibility of one more match. You never know. I did say if the stars were aligned, but we have to see how the stars align. I’d have to be in really good shape and feel like I could have a match that wouldn’t disappoint people.”
When asked if he had a potential opponent in mind for a final bout, Foley would point to Darby Allin.
“I pointed out to Darby that I am on record of saying he would be a dream opponent. So you never know what the future may bring. I’m down a lot of weight, but my cardio is suspect at best, and I’d still have to lose another 30 pounds just to hit poor conditions. So we’ll see if there’s some changes in the next year.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Foley spoke about getting Darby to save his big bumps for PPVs. You can read more about that here.
