Paul Wight explains why in his opinion, John Cena is the toughest wrestler that he has worked with over the years.
Throughout Wight’s legendary career, he has wrestled in multiple companies, including WWE, WCW and TNA, where he has crossed paths with some of the greatest wrestlers to ever do it. He has also been responsible for tossing around some of these high profile names, so has a good gauge on who the toughest amongst them is.
While speaking to Sky Sports in a new interview, Paul Wight would be asked who is the toughest wrestler he has worked with throughout his career, naming the 17 time world champion in John Cena.
“John Cena. You know, John Cena had neck surgery at 7 a.m. and at 3 o’clock in the afternoon he came by the building to say hello to everybody. This is a guy that has neck fused and within less than seven hours he came by to say hello to everybody. So, that’s pretty tough. I’ve seen him get stabbed in the eye and have his cornea scratched and he’s still at work the next day. That’s pretty tough.”
Elsewhere in another interview, Wight spoke about ‘getting’ Taz when he and Brock Lesnar broke a ring with a superplex. You can read more about that here.
