Sami Zayn: Kevin Owens Is A One Of One Talent Who Leaves A Gaping Hole When You Don’t Have Him On Your Roster

Sami Zayn speaks on Kevin Owens’ absence from WWE programming, noting how big of a hole that he leaves when he’s not on the roster.

Over the weekend, Zayn reached the top of the mountain in WWE for the first time, winning the WWE Championship by winning a triple threat match at the Premium Live Event that also featured Cody Rhodes and Gunther. One person who was absent from the event to potentially celebrate with Zayn is Kevin Owens, who is still recovering from a major neck injury.

While speaking to Fox News Digital in a recent interview prior to WWE Night Of Champions, Sami Zayn would speak on Kevin Owens, noting that his injury recovery takes time.

“I don’t want to speak out of school sharing his medical stuff,” Zayn said. “The procedure that he had just takes time. He’s going to do his due diligence – do rehab exercises and all that. But it really is a matter of time when you’re talking about fusions and those kinds of procedures, you just need time to get to where it needs to be.”

Sami continued, noting that Owens is a ‘one of one’ talent that leaves a gaping hole when he is not part of the active role.

“I’m hoping more than anybody, I would think, that he comes back soon. I think the fans have really been … I get asked about him a lot. So, it’s clear how beloved he is and how missed he is, it goes without saying he’s an extremely valuable talent. He’s a one-of-one talent that leaves a gaping hole when you don’t have him on your roster. I just think how better our show would be with him on it whether it’s SmackDown or Raw because of what he brings to the table. So, I think when he comes (back) I think it’s really gonna add just so much depth and dimension and excitement and quality programming to whatever show he lands on. It goes without saying.”
