At Night Of Champions this past weekend, Sami would shockingly capture the WWE Championship in a triple threat match with former champion Cody Rhodes and Gunther, with Zayn scoring the decisive pinfall on Cody Rhodes to take the title from him. Since winning the gold, Sami has reacted to the win on social media and an interview.
On June 30th, Sami Zayn would continue to troll on social media regarding his title win, this time targeting specifically Cody Rhodes, wishing him a happy birthday and including a photo of him with the WWE Championship to rub salt in the wounds for the former champion.
