WWE Marketing Team Yet To Receive Instructions To Update SummerSlam Art Concepts To Reflect Sami Zayn Being Champion

It was in the main event of WWE’s 2026 Night of Champions Premium Live Event that Sami Zayn got a pinfall victory over Cody Rhodes in a Triple Threat match to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
WrestleVotes on Fightful Select is reporting that Zayn’s win was a shock to many in the company, including the marketing department. On that front, the marketing department has not received any instructions to update the key art concepts for SummerSlam that would reflect Zayn being the champion.
“As of July 1, the WWE marketing department has yet to receive instructions to update the 2026 SummerSlam key art concepts to reflect Sami Zayn being the champion, @WrestleVotes Radio on @FightfulSelect reports.
One employee described the situation as “worrisome” because the lack of advance notice for a major creative change like that could make their jobs more difficult if that level of secrecy becomes the norm.”
