Athena Passes 1,300 Day Mark As ROH Women’s World Champion

Athena hits another milestone.

The ‘Minion Overlord’ passed the 1,300 day mark with her ROH Women’s World Championship reign on Thursday, July 2.

As many fans know by now, Athena won the title from Mercedes Martinez at the ROH Final Battle event in December 2022. Since then, she’s defended it against names like Willow Nightingale, Thunder Rosa, Harley Cameron, Billie Starkz, Hikaru Shida, Red Velvet, Miyu Yamashita, Marina Shafir, and Thekla.

Athena’s stint with the belt is by far the longest reign of any title that is currently in the company. The closest reign belongs to Lee Moriarty, who has held the ROH Pure Championship for 707 days.

At the moment, Athena is currently chasing a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship, as she recently earned the #1 spot in the Women’s Casino Gauntlet match that will take place on the July 8 episode of AEW Dynamite.
