Great Khali Says He Wanted To Leave WWE, Believes That’s Why Vince McMahon Made Him A Comedy Wrestler

Great Khali had planned on leaving WWE but Vince McMahon switched his character.

There’s a new interview with The Great Khali that was pushed out by Chris Van Vliet. Khali spoke about his transition from a serious presentation to being a comedy wrestler.

Khali said he thinks that when former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon found out he wanted to leave WWE, that’s when McMahon decided to switch Khali’s character.

“After WWE finds out Khali wants to leave, so then he made me a comedy wrestler, because he wants to kill my character. When I start wrestling in WWE, all of India watches wrestling. Everyone. Kids, women, men, young and old. So he’s thinking he wants to leave, so he made me a comedy wrestler.” Khali was then asked to clarify that Vince McMahon thought he wanted to leave, and he replied, “I think so, because I wanted to work on my own thing.” 

Elsewhere in the interview, Khali confirmed that he’s retired from in-ring competition.
