CM Punk Will Defend Undisputed WWE Championship Against Cody Rhodes At WWE SummerSlam
CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes is official for WWE SummerSlam.
Following his return on this week’s WWE Raw, CM Punk also made an appearance on the 7/10 WWE SmackDown.

During his promo, Punk called out several current WWE wrestlers, such as Sami Zayn, Gunther, Finn Balor, Royce Keys, Damian Priest, and Trick Williams, before being interrupted by Cody Rhodes.

The last time these two shared the ring, it was after Punk lost his World Heavyweight Championship to Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 42. Cody reminded Punk that during their last conversation, The American Nightmare had asked him to give a date for when Punk would have liked to have a title match. Cody wanted to know if Punk would do the same, and the latter simply asked for a time and place.
The American Nightmare responded with SummerSlam, and Nick Aldis made it official.
