CM Punk Advises Johnny Gargano & Candice LeRae To Get Back In The Ring: ‘Whatever This Is, It’s Not Working’
CM Punk tells Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae to get back in the ring.
For the past few months, Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae have been appearing in backstage segments where Gargano can be seen lying face down. One of the wrestlers who frequently interacted with Gargano was Sami Zayn.
On the 7/10 WWE SmackDown, during Punk’s backstage interview with Cathy Kelley, he was interrupted by Candice. She blamed CM Punk for defeating Sami and stealing the hope of the real underdogs. Punk responded with:
“I am proud of myself. You had hope for a whole 9 days, good for you. I hope you can hear me, Johnny Wrestling, because that’s what I remember, not whatever this is. You too, stop whatever you’re doing, get back in the ring, get back to doing what you two do best because whatever this is, it’s not working.”
Gargano hasn’t wrestled a match since the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in April.
