Penta speaks on he and Rey Fenix both being singles champions at the same time, reiterating that they will come together again.
Back in May, Fenix would capture his first singles title since signing with WWE, capturing the AAA Cruiserweight Championship. Since then, Fenix has successfully defended the title multiple times including not only in AAA but on WWE SmackDown also. Now, his brother has spoken about the pair’s success.
While speaking to the Dallas Morning News, Penta was asked about his brother Rey Fenix’s recent championship win, noting that they have both started ‘building in different ways’ and has reiterated that they will come together again.
“Definitely, definitely. I expect that. Because I know in my heart, at some point, the Lucha Bros. come together again. When? I don’t know exactly, but (for) now, I’ll enjoy this this kind of season in my life, in my career, in singles. My brother, too. Now he is champion, I am champion. Now we’ve started building in different ways. … But the most important thing is, I promise you, one time in some point the Lucha Bros. will be back.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Penta spoke about how he feels about the AAA partnership so far. You can read more about that here.
