Will Ospreay Looks Back At His 2019-2024: “No One Could F*cking Touch Me At That Time”

Will Ospreay feels that he was above the rest during that time period.

MVP and Dwayne Swayze welcomed Will Ospreay onto their Marking Out podcast. While looking back at highlights from Ospreay’s career, he expressed his thought that nobody could touch him in the ring from 2019 to 2024.

Ospreay said it bothers him that a few of those years happened during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Three years like that,” Ospreay said about wrestling during the COVID era. “I hated it because — I wanna say it and I’ll say it with my chest that like 2019 to 2024, no one could f*cking touch me at that time. I was just firing on all cylinders, and the fact that my best years in wrestling — and I know people will say, ‘No, you still got ‘em’ but it’s just, like, that was a time when I was firing. My body didn’t hurt. I was on it, and it was in f*cking silence, and it tore me apart. It was one of the most difficult — and now being on this side of it, it was the f*cking most stupidest thing I ever had to endure in my life.”

Ospreay has been with AEW full-time since 2024. He is gearing up to compete in the main event of All In 2026 as he’ll be challenging Kenny Omega for the AEW World Championship.
