Billy Gunn Explains Why He Loves Competing For 1 Fall Wrestling, ‘There’s No Stress Involved’

1 Fall Wrestling is arguably the hottest indie promotion in Georgia at the moment, primarily due to their stellar talent roster and the amount of shows that they put on.
The company’s shows will often feature Billy Gunn. He’s already wrestled in six matches for the promotion this year.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo for a new interview, Gunn explained why he still wrestles on the independent scene.
“I still wrestle for 1FW, which is a company here in [Georgia] that QT Marshall owns. I do it because I love it. I don’t for it for any — people go, ‘Well, why do you still get in there?’ I go, ‘Because I love what I do.’ I get to do it and have fun. There’s no more stress. None of the matches I do are, I’m not going out there and having five star banger WrestleMania matches, but I can still go out there and the people love it. I have fun and there’s no stress involved. When there’s no stress involved, you can kind of breathe, have some fun, listen to the people more. They just want to see me do the trademark stuff that I do and go, ‘Yes’, then point at their kids and go, ‘See, that’s what I grew up on.’”
