Speedball Mike Bailey continues on his quest to be Don Callis’ number one hater noting that he isn’t the one to be credited with his faction’s success.
The Don Callis Family has continued to grow in recent years, with faction members coming and going in several cases, most recently, with Andrade El Idolo leaving the faction. However, one person who has always been against Callis and his family has been Speedball Mike Bailey.
While speaking to TMZ Sports in a new interview, Speedball Mike Bailey maintained that the success of The Don Callis Family is down to the talent, not Callis himself.
“Look, I think that me and Kevin Knight, our union as Jet Speed did wonders for our careers in AEW. We became two-time Trios champions. We had lots of great tag team matches. We had… lots of great victories, not just as a tag team, but also in singles supporting each other. I think the conglomeration is great. I think they all help each other and work together, and I think members of the Don Callis family have known success by working together. But now, to credit Don Callis for their success, I think is wrong. I think they are successful as a unit, despite Don Callis. I think that, you know, people like Andrade and Takeshita are great cases for what I’m talking about. We’re having too much success and kind of threw off the balance of The Don Callis Family, and then were promptly, you know, kicked out or treated differently within the group, and, you know, we see where they’re at now. I mean, they’re both doing great, but they are doing objectively better than they were with the Don Callis Family before, because Don Callis was trying to hold them back.”
