Berwyn Eagles Club Under New Ownership

On April 9, it was announced that Berwyn Eagles Club in Chicago, IL would no longer hold wrestling events after an alleged stabbing incident on March 28 during a Ruthless Pro Wrestling event. The final event took place on April 24.

The property has now been sold to Berwyn Auto Spa, which is owned by José Tejada. The venue will now be named Destino.

The building will be converted into an event space, but it is unknown if wrestling events will be held in the venue.

Wrestling promoters told the Chicago Sun-Times that they don’t know of any wrestling events scheduled there, despite the building’s history.

It was reported that the venue had lost its license as a result of the alleged stabbing incident, but according to reports, “Berwyn’s city attorney and chief of police confirmed with a reporter that the venue’s entertainment license — necessary for hosting wrestling shows — has not been revoked as a result of the events on March 28.”

Fightful will continue to update fans on the future of Berwyn Eagles Club when more is known.
