Andrade El Idolo Becomes AEW National Champion At Redemption PPV

Andrade El Idolo is the new champion.

One of the bouts on the marquee for AEW’s 2026 Redemption pay-per-view was Mark Davis defending the AEW National Championship against Andrade El Idolo.

Davis had been champion since May, and the match against Andrade was his eighth title defense.

Andrade put Davis away with a spinning elbow and then a DDT to become the champion. Andrade now joins Ricochet, Jack Perry and Mark Davis on the list of AEW National Champions.
