Roman Reigns Attempts To Recreate Shield Chair Moment With Seth Rollins On WWE Raw
Roman Reigns fails to repeat history.
Ahead of their match at SummerSlam, this week’s episode of Raw was headlined by a promo segment between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Reigns attempted to start the segment with his usual Acknowledge Me schtick. Instead, he was quickly interrupted by Seth Rollins, who borrowed the catchphrase in an attempt to appeal to the Los Angeles crowd.
The ‘OTC’ responded by saying that Rollins is an asshole. As a rebuttal, Rollins agreed and said that being an asshole is what gets him by in WWE. After that, Rollins reminded Reigns about their previous matches and how he has won all of them.
In an attempt to fire back, Reigns told Rollins that he is the only real superstar and champion in WWE. He also reminded Rollins that he needs to beat him in front of his family.
Rollins dug deeper and said that he hopes Roman’s family is at SummerSlam so he can see how much of a fraud and loser he is. At this point, Reigns decided to take out Rollins with a Superman Punch and a Spear. Then, he went to ringside and grabbed a chair as Rollins was hunched over in the ring.
As it turns out, this was a ruse on the part of Rollins. As soon as he entered the ring, Reigns was stomped by Rollins.
