Kay Lee Ray Remembers Complaints About Her & Isla Dawn’s WWE Tag Title Win At 2024 Clash At The Castle PLE

Kay Lee Ray and Isla Dawn had a big moment in 2024.
The 2024 WWE Clash at the Castle Premium Live Event emanated from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. Scotland’s own Isla Dawn and Kay Lee Ray, f.k.a. Alba Fyre, captured the Women’s Tag Team Championship at that show.
As Ray was doing a virtual signing for K & S WrestleFest, she was asked for her favorite moment of teaming with Dawn in WWE and selected the Scotland P.L.E. and title win. Ray also brought up the complaints people had, which were about Dawn and Ray only winning the titles because it was in their home country.
“I mean, it has to be Glasgow. It has to be winning the titles in Glasgow. I find that one so contradicting because when we won, a lot of people said, ‘They only won it because they were in their hometown,’ and I was like, ‘Wait, people always complain that people don’t win because it was in their hometown…’ I think we’re incredibly lucky we won in our hometown… That has to be the top experience for me. Doing that with someone else who’s also Scottish and it means so much to them as well.”
Both Ray and Dawn are no longer with WWE. Dawn was let go in early 2025, and Ray was released in April 2026.
