Avery Styles, Son Of AJ Styles, Wins GCW Debut With Spiral Tap

Avery Styles, the son of AJ Styles, continues to make a big impression.
Making his GCW debut on July 31 at GCW The Top Play against Alex Lev, Avery Styles picked up the victory with the spiral tap.
AJ used the spiral tap early in his career, but toned down his style the older he got.
After the bout, Avery was confronted by Marcus Mathers, who he will face at the August 1 GCW event.

AJ Styles recently spoke about his son using the spiral tap, saying, “He did the spiral tap on this last match and the guy was super close. I’m like, ‘I don’t know if he’s going to be able to hit it. He pulled it off but I got to admit, I’ve had some ugly spiral taps in my day. So for comparing some of my ugly ones, definitely his was better. But we’ll see as time goes on how if his gets ugly because again, if you don’t use it, you lose it. I think there were so many times in there where I didn’t use it enough, I just lost it. Sometimes things got a little ugly. It’s a little scary of a move, but the fact that he was able to pull that off in such a short amount of space was pretty impressive.”
