Thunder Rosa Wins Mexican National Women’s Championship

Thunder Rosa captures gold.

At CMLL Viernes Espectacular on July 31, Thunder Rosa won the Mexican National Women’s Championship, defeating India Sioux.

The finish saw Thunder hit the Fire Thunder Driver for the victory.

Rosa earned her title shot by winning an elimination match at the July 19 CMLL event. She defeated Reyna Isis, Keyra, Garra Negra, Sanely, Skadi, Hera and Olympi in the bout.

Sioux held the title for 511 days. She made two successful title defenses during her reign.

This is the first CMLL championship for Rosa. She is a former AEW Women’s Champion and has a dual contract with AEW and CMLL.
