Joe Gacy Recalls People Being Weird Towards Wyatt Sicks During WWE WrestleMania 42 Weekend, Thinks They Knew Wyatts Were Being Released

The entire Wyatt Sicks was cut from the company.
Coming out of WWE’s WrestleMania 42 event, there were multiple talent departures in late April 2026. Among those cut was the entire Wyatt Sicks faction (Bo Dallas, Joe Gacy, Nikki Cross, Dexter Lumis & Erick Rowan).
Gacy, now going by Joseph Sawyer, spoke about their exit from WWE while on The FiveMarks podcast. Sawyer doesn’t want to say he expected the release, but remembers there being ‘weirdness’ towards the Wyatt Sicks during WrestleMania 42 weekend. He assumes it’s because those people knew the group was getting cut.
“I don’t wanna say that I expected it, but I will say that when we were in Las Vegas for ‘Mania, it seemed weird. There was a little weirdness there, and I couldn’t put my finger on it. But there were little things that I look back at and I’m like, oh, okay, because everyone knew we were leaving.”
Sawyer and Lumis a.k.a. Samuel Shaw are back in action on the independent scene. Nikki Cross a.k.a. Nikki Storm and her husband Big Damo acquired PROGRESS Wrestling and DEFY Wrestling.
