Kit Wilson Says There Were People Backstage Who Were Not Fond Of Danhausen Taking PLE Spot At WWE Elimination Chamber

The rise of Danhausen was discussed by Kit Wilson.

It was back in February 2026 at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event that Danhausen arrived in the company. There were mixed reviews about his debut, as he received some in-arena cheers, but there was a good chunk of boos for him as well.

The 180 in the reactions to Danhausen and his ascension in WWE was delved into by Kit Wilson. Wilson said on Busted Open that some backstage were not fond of Danhausen’s debut taking a spot away on a Premium Live Event.

“Absolutely not,” Wilson responded when asked if he thought Danhausen would reach the level he’s at in WWE this quickly. “I was there in Chicago for his debut, and I think that gave us a lot of question marks. It was a lot of people that enjoyed it. There was a lot of people that didn’t. Again, that’s the beautiful thing about this company, about this program is that we all get to have our own opinion. Danhausen came in and there was a lot of us backstage that didn’t feel too fond about him coming in on a pay-per-view, on a P.L.E… maybe taking our spots. So of course, I wanted to be the guy to take on Danhausen. Who had his debut match? Me. Who put him on the map? Me, and now Danhausen is popular than ever. So, I guess you’re welcome?”

Danhausen scored a win over AAA Mega Champion Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam. He defeated Mysterio in a Human Monies on a Pole match.
