Ricky Saints speaks on being an inspiration to the next generation of professional wrestlers, admitting he never really saw himself as that.

Saints has been a pro wrestler for 14 years now, and has wrestled across several companies, including AEW and currently, WWE. Despite this however, Saints has trouble seeing himself as an inspiration to aspiring pro wrestlers.

While speaking to LaJunta+ in a new interview, Ricky Saints was asked about being an inspiration for the next generation of pro wrestlers.

“You know, I never really thought of myself as that. I never really thought of myself as an inspiration, so to speak, because I just- when you’re in it, you’re in it. But I do think that is cool because it is possible. There are a lot of times where there are certain dreams that we have that seem impossible, unattainable, that we’re not able to do it, and then the next thing you know, you turn around and you are doing it, you are living it, and I think the only reason that is possible for someone like me or someone like Stephanie (Vaquer) is only because you have to be so convinced. Your conviction has to be like breathing, right? That you already know that you’re going to make it. Nothing can shake that.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Ricky spoke about potentially meeting Brock Lesnar in the ring in the future. You can read more about that here.
