Nikki Bella Interested To See What She Does On WWE TV Now That Brie Is Out, Talks Brie Potentially Returning For Royal Rumble 2027

Nikki Bella spoke about her return and the future with her sister in the ring.

WWE SummerSlam 2026 featured the in-ring return of Nikki Bella. Since before WrestleMania 42, Nikki had been recovering after undergoing surgery for a fractured ankle. At SummerSlam, she teamed with her sister Brie Bella and Paige to take on Fatal Influence (Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley & Lainey Reid).

On The Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki commented on being back in the ring.

“I was so nervous (to be back in the ring). But you know, this time around, I was super prepared. As I’ve spoke about it before, having Aaron Solo as a coach has been extremely helpful. He has helped prepare me so much, more so than before… I just felt like going in this time, I nailed it with every component of being the best me so, I felt super confident going into the match but I was just super nervous too… I was super nervous but also, obviously having you (Brie Bella) and Paige by my side always makes me feel better and I’ll give it to them: Fatal Influence is incredible. They’re incredible workers, wrestlers, and I felt really strong out there. When I hit that comeback and different things that I did in the match, I felt really strong; I felt really confident and then obviously, the ending of the match.”

Nikki and Brie would go on to state that there was a video package that was supposed to air for them, but it didn’t, nor did it get posted on social media.

Nikki: “Even though our stuff got cut on the Friday before…”

Brie: “Which we were bummed about.”

Nikki: “I’m like, ‘Where did our package go!?’ By the way, I never saw it online. They said it (would be posted) socially. I never saw it on social media — our package we filmed.”

Brie: “I didn’t see it either. I don’t think it did.”

During the match, Brie suffered a broken scapula (shoulder blade) injury. She will not undergo surgery, but will be out three to six months depending on the healing process.

Nikki and Brie turned on Paige after their loss to Fatal Influence. Nikki and Brie are both excited to see what Nikki does with this twist in their on-screen direction.

Nikki: “I know it will be interesting to see what I do.”

Brie: “I’m excited to see what you do.”

Nikki: “Aww. Well, I know, I just — I was so bummed because I’m like, I’ve done my solo, you know, and then, you did your solo and I was just really excited to do this chapter with you and travel together, be together. Even when we have our own matches, to be by each other’s sides in those matches and you know what I mean? All the things.”

It was announced that the 2027 Royal Rumble Premium Live Event is taking place in February at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona.

The Bellas have called Arizona home since their youth years. Nikki said February 2027 lines up with Brie’s recovery timeline.

“I’m like, ‘Oh my goodness. This is gonna be amazing,” Nikki said about Royal Rumble 2027 in Arizona. “Then I was counting down on the months and I was like, ‘Wait, Brie.’ I’m like, ‘What a return if it is the Royal Rumble for you, depending on your shoulder.’ Maybe it’s before but maybe it’s then — to be in Phoenix, Arizona.”

Since Brie’s return in January 2026, The Bellas have only been able to wrestle in three matches together.
