Zilla Fatu Crashes Main Event On 8/11 WWE NXT
Zilla Fatu crashes the main event.
Closing out the August 11th episode of NXT on The CW was Grayson Waller versus Cruz Montana to determine who would challenge Tony D’Angelo for the NXT Championship at the Heatwave Premium Live Event.
The backend of the match saw Montana put Waller down with his ‘Spin the Block’ clothesline, but as he was getting ready to make the cover, Zilla Fatu showed up and crashed the main event.
Fatu took out both Montana and Waller and hit them both with Samoan Splashes. He would then direct his attention to the commentary desk where NXT Champion Tony D’Angelo was seated. Fatu stated that the new champion has arrived.
Over the weekend, Fatu dropped the House of Glory Crown Jewel Championship to Amazing Red. Post-match, he got a send-off from the crowd.
Back in June, Fightful Select reported that Fatu was expected to sign with WWE.
