Raquel Rodriguez Calls Image Of Her Bleeding After Winning The Women’s IC Title ‘Symbolic’: ‘I Feel Like That Photo Really Represented What I Had To Do To Get To This Title’

Raquel Rodriguez speaks about winning the Women’s IC Title in WWE as blood ran down her face.

Recently, Raquel Rodriguez won her first singles title on the main roster when she defeated Sol Ruca for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. During the match, Rodriguez’s face was cut open. The image of that moment is what many fans saw online when learning about her title victory.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Raquel called this image “symbolic” for her.

“Oh, for sure [I’m proud of that image]. For sure. I think it was very symbolic for me. Triple H said it best in his tweet afterwards, in his championship photo that he takes with every new champion. ‘Blood sweat and tears.’ Honestly, it’s been a long journey for me. I’ve gone through a lot.

I feel like that photo really represented what I had to do to get to this title. What the journey took to become a singles champion for WWE again.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Raquel revealed that she has talked with Liv Morgan about winning the Women’s World Championship many times. Fans can read her full comments here.
