Anthony Henry Provides Post-Surgery Update

An update from Anthony Henry.

In January 2025, Anthony Henry underwent surgery for a bicep tear. He returned to in-ring action in the summer of that year.

Taking to his Instagram, Henry revealed that for the last year, he’s been dealing with lingering effects from the bicep injury despite the surgery he underwent.

“Yeah, that day really sucked and to be honest, the last two years have also sucked because I have still been dealing with the same issues stemming from the initial bicep tear that I had two years ago. So I tore my bicep, and then I of course went and had it reattached, got it repaired, and in the midst of having it repaired, some complications came up: Heterotopic ossification. That is a fancy word for saying that I grew extra bone on top of the bone that was already there. Essentially forming a cross bridge between my two forearm bones and thus… not allowing me to supinate; go palms up. So every professional wrestling match that you have seen since that time has been me 60 percent of a man. So tomorrow morning, I go in, I get cut again and finally, hopefully, hopefully praying that no more complications happen. I just wanna be able to turn my arm… That’s all the f*ck I wanna do. I just want to feel like I’m 100 percent of Anthony Henry again. So, if you’ve been a fan, if you have supported me, I guess keep me in your thoughts and let’s just hope everything goes on tomorrow without a hitch.”

Henry has since undergone the operation, and he provided an update:

“August 12th, 2026, this is day number one of my recovery. I am finally going to be 100 percent of a man. For the past two years, I have been a shell of myself. 60 percent at best, both in the ring, in the gym, and I have been able to still uphold a performance that is at an elite level. So, do me a favor and tell me what do you think is going to happen when I’m 100 percent. What’s going to happen is I’m going to show up really, really soon as the best possible version of myself, which means that everybody else is sh*t out of luck if you’re in my way, in any context. Take that as you will.”

Henry last wrestled in July at a Ring of Honor television taping. He is a member of The WorkHorsemen alongside J.D. Drake.
