It had been made official that Dominik Mysterio will be defending his AAA Mega Championship against El Grande Americano at Triplemanía 34.
The 2026 Triplemanía is a two-night event, with night one taking place on September 11th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. Night two is on September 13th at Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.
There was a brawl between Mysterio and Americano on the 8/15 AAA on FOX. When AAA General Manager Rey Mysterio separated the two, Americano addressed the Mega Champion on the microphone.
He stated that their match will take place in Mexico City, which is the final night of Triplemanía 34.
