Masato Tanaka Undergoing Nerve Decompression Surgery

A surgical operation for Masato Tanaka.

33-year veteran wrestler Masato Tanaka is going to be out of action. He’ll be undergoing nerve decompression surgery for bilateral cubital tunnel syndrome, which is the compression of the nerve at both elbows.

His surgery is scheduled for September, as announced by Pro Wrestling ZERO1.

Although it depends on his recovery, ZERO1 is planning for Tanaka to return on October 17th. They added that they’ll be providing full support for him.

Tanaka took to X and shared that he’ll be wrestling on August 22nd and 23rd.

火祭り決勝までいかなければ、もしかしたら今の状態でリングに上がり続けたかもしれない、でもまだまだ上を狙えるのはわかったし、上に行くために手術を決めました。

うちの新木場の次の日は去年に続きみちのくプロレスさんの神戸大会に参戦させて頂きます。
手術する発表はしたけど、なんらいつもと変わらないし、欠場前やから逆に暴れまくるから。
