Katsuyori Shibata Replacing Nigel McGuinness At ROH Death Before Dishonor

Lee Moriarty has a new opponent for ROH Death Before Dishonor.

On the August 20 episode of ROH TV, Katsuyori Shibata defeated Wheeler Yuta to become the number one contender for the ROH Pure Championship.

Shibata will now face Lee Moriarty for the title at Death Before Dishonor, replacing Nigel McGuinness, who is battling through a foot injury. Nigel is still competing in the AEW Continental Challenge Cup, but won’t be able to compete at Death Before Dishonor in fear of risking further injury that could take him out of the tournament.

Nigel defeated Hechicero on Dynamite to advance to the next round.

Shibata is 2-0 against Moriarty in his career.

ROH Death Before Dishonor takes place on August 21.
