Chris Jericho: I Would Love To Do Something With Maple Leaf Pro

Chris Jericho would love to work for Maple Leaf Pro.

The promotion will have one of its biggest show yet in October, as they’re set to host the Northern Rising event at the Mattamy Athletic Centre in Toronto. Adam Copeland is scheduled to wrestle on the show.

As it turns out, Chris Jericho was in talks with Scott D’Amore for a possible appearance at the show as well. Even though scheduling issues got in the way, Jericho recently told The Wrestling Classic that he’d still love to do something with the company in the future.

“I was actually talking to Scott about doing something on the big show that Adam Copeland is on, but it just didn’t work out for scheduling. I had something else going on that day that I couldn’t get out of. I would love to do something with Maple Leaf Pro. I just love the fact that it’s a Canadian company. Scott’s a great guy and he’s very smart to the business, so I’m sure it’s gonna be a success. Yeah, I’d love to be involved in it because once again, for the same reasons that we talked about earlier with Vietslam, he’s doing it for the right reasons. I’ll support it for that reason as well.”

Jericho hasn’t worked for an indie promotion since making a surprise appearance at a PWG show in January 2023.
