Orange Cassidy comments on Willow Nightingale’s AEW Women’s World Title win, noting that he knew she was destined for it.
At AEW Redemption last month, Nightingale would challenge Thekla for the championship and would end up scoring the victory, becoming a triple crown champion in All Elite Wrestling as a result. Now, she is preparing for a title bout against Mercedes Mone at AEW All In this Sunday.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez’s Unlikely in a new interview, Orange Cassidy was asked about Willow Nightingale’s AEW Women’s World Title victory, with Cassidy noting that he knew Willow was destined for things like that.
“It’s one of those things where… You know somebody for some time and you feel like it’ll happen. There’s a genuine emotion you get from some people. You know they’re just genuine. They’re real. They’re destined for things, and she is one of those people, and very fortunate I always get to experience it firsthand.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Cassidy spoke about Toni Storm being absent from AEW screens while noting that she has taught him a thing or two. You can read more about that here.
