Brooks Jensen: Vince McMahon Told My Dad, ‘We’ll Sign Him When He’s 18’ After Hearing How Much I Weighed At Birth

Brooks Jensen is the son of Bull Buchanan, who had a run in WWE from 1997 to 2003.

WWE announced the signing of Jensen just days after his 20th birthday.

Speaking with AJ Styles on The AJ Styles Show, Jensen was asked if wrestling was always where he wanted to end up.

“It’s always been my thing. There was never a second option. Literally, the day I was born, my dad and my godfather, Big Bossman, came to the hospital and my dad got the call from Vince McMahon and he was like, ‘Congrats on the baby. How is he?’ My dad told him how much I weighed; I forgot the exact number, but he heard the weight and was like, ‘Well, when he turns 18, we’ll sign him.’ Since day one, I’ve been destined to be in this,” he said.

Jensen had his tryout when he was 18, technically signed when he was 19, and moved to Florida to train at the Performance Center on his 20th birthday.

Jensen currently competes on NXT and EVOLVE.
