The AEW roster has been well known for having several names that are gamers, with AEW Games proving to be a home for several talent to connect with fans with a mutual hobby. One of the biggest gamers on the roster is Athena, who streams games regularly on Twitch and also discusses the games she’s playing on social media.
While speaking to WFAA in a new interview, Athena was asked who she thinks would be the gaming champion of the AEW locker room.
“Ooh. I mean… As far as the girls go, it’s me hands down. I mean, I hate to humble brag, but I whooped everyone in Super Smash a while back. We lost at Diddy Kong Racing. It was really tragic, because I do love that game. But I think as far as the guys go, man, I feel like Ricochet might have that in the bag. Or good old Swerve. One of those two, because they’re always gaming the rascals. Oh, boy, the Rascalz have emulators they’re all sitting on. But we have a stacked roster, Evil Uno as well. I think everyone is going to be gunning for any opportunity that it comes to prove in the real zone who’s the real gamers.”
Elsewhere in the same interview, Athena spoke about possibly coming after Mercedes Mone and the AEW Women’s World Champion. You can read more about that here.
