Kelani Jordan: Now I’m Calling Myself ‘One Shot Lani’

Kelani Jordan has given herself a new nickname following her NXT Women’s title victory at NXT Heatwave and those before it.

At NXT Heatwave last weekend, Kelani Jordan would receive her first title shot at the NXT Women’s Championship, defeating Kendal Grey to win the title. During her time in NXT, the titles that Kelani has won in both the brand and TNA, have come on her first challenges at the titles.

While speaking to Going Ringside in a new interview, Kelani Jordan spoke about capturing the title on her first attempt, noting that she is calling herself by a new nickname in the aftermath.

“Yep, all full speed ahead. I’m so happy because this was my first try going for this title. I mean, honestly, my first try on all the titles that I’ve gone for, I won it. So now I’m calling myself One Shot Lani. But I feel great. I kind of went into that match with a chip on my shoulder because this is a title that I’ve been chasing for three and a half years. So finally, I got my chance and then I got it done on the first attempt.”
