Chelsea Green Listed As WWE Women’s Champion

Chelsea Green is listed as the WWE Women’s Champion.

After Rhea Ripley’s injury, WWE held a Ladder Match at SummerSlam to crown the Interim WWE Women’s Champion, where Chelsea Green emerged victorious.

On the 9/11 WWE SmackDown, Green had her first title defense against Nia Jax. Instead of being listed as the “Interim WWE Women’s Champion,” she was shown as the “WWE Women’s Champion.” On WWE’s website, it says that Rhea’s title reign ended on August 2 – the day Green won the championship. 

In August, Rhea revealed that she underwent knee surgery.
